Great shoes! They take 1-2 days to break into, however they are very comfortable once you have worn them in.

The only reason I rated them a 4 instead of a 5 is because I think that the stitch work around the laces could have been done better. But the stitching at the base of the shoe is great.

I think I went through about 8 pairs of chukka style boots on Amazon from inexpensive to very expensive and ended up keeping the Born Harrison's. Either the fit was wrong, the soles squeaked or were made of a composite rubber that crumbled quickly and last but not least, were just so uncomfortable I could not wear them.

Not so with the Born Harrison's. I would say order a 1/2 size down, instead of a full size. I am a 9.5, tried the 8.5 (too small), but a 9 fit me perfectly. Overall the chukka is well constructed and looks nice either dressed up or with a pair of jeans. The sole is solid rubber, that does not squeak and the tred is low profile enough not to be noticed at all. As for comfort, I am amazed as I normally order high end inner soles (see my other reviews) for almost every pair of shoes I own and just assumed the same would be the case here. However, I put them on and have not even thought about inner soles. They are that comfortable. Also, there was zero break in period, I have been wearing them since I arrived with no foot, leg or knee pain in the slightest.

My husband loves these boots! Comfortable enough to wear everyday, all day. He has to be really particular about shoes because of terrible eczema on his feet, and the leather lining in these boots causes no irritation whatsoever.

I should have listened to others about the sizing. I have wide feet and normally wear a 9 1/2 but I could easily wear a 9 in these shoes. I have worn these about 20 days at this point and they are very comfortable. I would buy these again assuming they last a reasonable amount of time.
