one of the first things my mom told me when we were ready to buy shoes for our daughter was to please, please invest in good shoes for her. she is one year old and has been walking for a couple of months and the only shoes we had for her were stride rites which have been excellent. i was nervous about buying an unknown (to me) brand, especially one that is so expensive. my concern was that i would be paying for style but not comfort however livie and luca proved me wrong. my daughter is still growing into these but she wore them for the first time this weekend to a friend's birthday party. they are so funky, people were stopping to look at them. the little faux buttons are adorable and the vibrant red really stands out. the leather is soft but durable and the boots come up just to her ankle so it isn't a struggle for her to walk. most of all, she loved them. we put them on and after one or 2 tenative steps she was off and running. with the shoes she is outgrowing, she tries to take them off and often succeeds. she didn't try once with these. i'm so happy to have invested in these shoes and look forward to more livie and lucas in the future.

These are adorable but the foot/ankle opening is very tight making it very difficult to get the shoe on. We are trying to wear them in to the point that my daughter can get her foot in with a sock, but right now that is impossible. Once her foot is in they fit well with a little toe room to spare so I know the problem isn't the sizing.

Hopefully the leather will stretch enough before the weather gets colder.

I have had great luck with other Livie and Luca shoes so maybe this is a fluke.

Love them. This is as great brand. Velcro makes it easy on and off, even for a three year old to do herself.

We get tons of compliments on these. It took us a long time to figure out how to get the shoes on (our daughter has wide feet) the ankle is just a little too high for our 16 month old, but eventually it sort of worked itself in to fitting. They have held up really well and after our walking daughter wearing them for two months, they still look great. I would buy them again.
