My Timberland shoes arrived yesterday. I had originally found them on Timberland's website for $185.00. On amazon I saved $50.00. At either price, they are well worth it. As soon as they arrived I put them on and loved the look and the feel. I wore them all day and well into the evening. It's as if they came broken in.

Though I am aware of some of the complaints on sizing, I too at first thought they were a little bit large. I had even called Timberland to inquire about their sizing, measured the length of my foot and sure enough, I was a size 9 on Timberland's chart as well as others. After wearing them for the day I realized that Timberland knew what they were doing. The shoes fit and are comfortable.

I usually don't get excited about a pair of shoes, CD's yes, books yes, but shoes?

Timberland has certainly gained a customer here!

First and foremost, this is a dress boot and not a boot to plod around in the fields all day. That said, I love the soft leather on this boot. The workmanship appears to be very good. Very comfortable shoe, looks great with chinos, jeans or what-have-you. The sole is a bit on the thin side, but if it was any thicker it would really change the look. The only down side is the laces. They are very thin like a dress shoe, but when I say thin, I mean real thin, such that I am looking for a waxed round brown lace 45-48 inches long. Not an easy find.

Fit wise, I usually take an 11 but reading the reviews here and other places indicated you may want to go down 1/2 size. I did and they fit perfect. Going down a half size also worked with my Timberland work boots too..

I LOVE THIS SHOE !!! It runs a little small. I recommend to order a 1/2 size up or a full size if wearing thick socks. Appropiate for office and everyday wear. Looks amazing with wide leg or flair jeans and knee length skirts.

Purchased my usual size 7 & they fit a little tight with thin socks, but not a problem. They are a bit high, not a problem for me, but if you're not used to wearing anything over 5" these will make it a challenge for you. Very cute & will make you feel like a model.

This boot gets high marks for comfort despite its towering three-inch height. What didn't work for me was the fit. It ran large, which made my size 8 heel slip out with every step I took. It's also fairly snug in the front, too narrow for my slightly wide feet. Would fit a size 8.5 narrow foot fairly well.

I own 4 pairs of the Maui Moc slippers and love them because they are so comfortable but way too casual for the office. I just found these Maui Walking shoes which are almost identical but come in a nice leather which is acceptable for work (at least to me). They do have a wide toe box so they may fit big if you have narrow feet, but for my fairly flat feet they fit perfect.

I normally wear a 10.5 or 11 regular shoe and I ordered the 10.5 in these and they are perfect. They are sooo light you almost forget you are wearing them. They are a bit pricey, but all Patagonia stuff seems to be but money well spent in my opinion.

They lived up to all expectations and I wear them almost everyday. I have a narrow foot with Morton's Neuroma; they run true to size, snug through the foot and a wide toe box. The gold sheen is a nice touch and helps to make this a stylish Dansko product. Everyone raves about the original clogs but they aren't the most attractive, these boots are cute and the perfect fit.

I have a high arch and I wear the prossional clogs for work. I have 2 pair of sandals and just purchased this short boot.

I plan on wearing them for the first time tonight for dinner with some friends.

I tried them on when I opened the box. I loved the feel of the arch support!!

I found the laces didn't stay snug. I assume that is because they are stiff. I would imagine they will loosen up.

I just plan on double knotting my laces for now!

So far, I have yet to purchase a pair of Danskos that aren't comfortable. I love the color of these boots--vintage gray with iridescent blue hues. Danskos, in general, have roomy toe boxes--so if you want your feet to look tiny--this boot may not be for you. I have big feet (9-9.5 depending on shoe) and don't care how my big my feet look, as long as I have comfortable supportive shoes on!

Shoes cute and color compatible with casual wardrobe. However, the arch was hard and too high for my foot. Actually, this was the first Dansko that fit uncomfortably in the arch. Too bad, but I had to return.

These boots are a beautiful design, and will be perfect for someone with very narrow heels. My feet are a normal 40 M, but there was no way I could get them on. I even undid the non functional shoe lace just in case.

I was very disappointed and am returning. Maybe someone with a very narrow foot will be able to get them on.

I have searched high and low for a well made boot that I can resole and keep for a long time. I want the leather to wear in and develop a nice patina, even with polishing (this requires a full grain leather, which costs more). I want comfort, especially living in the city and doing a lot of walking. I wanted a great look that I could wear both on the weekend and in the office.

I did NOT want your hipster Americana cuff my selvedge denim and let my boots get all scuffed up so people think I make things in a machine shop look.

This fit the bill on all fronts. High quality leather with the toe slightly burnished to give it some character out of the box. The leather has been breaking in very well and with some polish + care will last a while. I've polished it only once so far and it is looking good.

It's comfortable. I can walk 3-4 miles a day in NYC and not have my feet feel tired at all. In fact, they feel great, especially compared to some other boots I've owned (John Varvatos, I'm looking at you... the name "hipster chukka" should've had me running, but I went against my better judgment). It's also breathable (thank you full grain leather) so your feet won't funk up.

The Vibram sole is holding up surprisingly well. I went through the first set of combat boots with Vibram sole and those things disintegrated in no time at all. I was hesitant about the sole, but so far it has held up VERY well.

Style is awesome. I can wear with chinos or dark jeans and it looks good. I wear it to the office no problem. I can wear more casually on the weekend and it also fits in. I get lots of compliments on these bad boys.

The fit runs a bit large. I normally wear a 9.5 and the size 9 is perfect with slightly thicker dress socks.

The only thing I have yet to figure out is how to put these on without a shoe horn. There are laces... there is a zipper... but somehow I have to undo all of it and use a shoe horn to get my foot in there, unless I want to wear out the heel leather by stomping on it. Anyway, small gripe. If you take your shoes on/off at the door you may want to think twice, but if you are on the move and keep your boots on all day this is not a big deal.

If you are looking for a nicer, high quality boot that is extremely versatile and don't want to veer off into $300 Red Wing/Wolverine land, this is the boot to get.

These are great-looking, versatile, well-made boots, but my size 15s were very long in the toe, though they fit very comfortably in the heel and around the foot. I wear 15s regularly, but I ended up returning them and trying size 14s, which are snug (though by no means uncomfortable), and look a lot less clown-y. I think this long toe thing is a common issue with Timberland, though I think just for larger sizes.

P.S. EXCELLENT return policy!!! Completely easy and convenient.

These boots are comfortable right out of the box! Other reviewers have commented about sizing. i wear a 10.5 for some brands, an 11 in others. I got at 10.5 and it's perfect!

The color has a nice aged patina. They go with everything from dress slacks to jeans. I throw a good natural (clear)polish on to help with water, and off you go.

I'd recommend them, and might grab them again in the future if available!
