The Lunarlon sole earns its moon-boot influenced moniker. These things are about the softest walk, ever.
They are generously sized, with a fairly large toe box, and the black suede upper looks grand. I'm quite happy with these.

Hey Dude Men's Wally Chukka Canvas Slip-on Reviews
I have to wear very comfortable shoes. I have a nerve disorder and needed to find a lightweight, soft shoe. These are fantastic. I have ordered two more pairs from another site, only because they aren't available on Amazon. These are great for casual wear or beach wear for most customers. For me they are even better than wearing slippers. The sole has traction and has stood up to everyday wear. I'd love to say that, "I wish that I could wear them every day." Yet, this is what I do. Loose fitting and good arch support for such a casual shoe. The inserts remove easily and can be replaced with the gel soles etc. with ease. These are made of canvas and light weight rubber. I can't say enough, like I said, I've ordered a black washed pair and a brown pair.

My husband absolutely loves these shoes. He bought his first pair in the UK. It's his favorite casual shoes. He loves the way they fit his feet. They are very light weight & your feet stay cool. There is good support in the heel and he loves the soft comfortable cushioning in the shoe.Best Deals for Hey Dude Men's Wally Chukka Canvas Slip-on
I got some men shoes from *Hey Dude Shoes* great to just in time for fathers day.. The person who tested these out didn't want to be displayed, but wanted to share what he thought of them. When I got them, and had them tried on, the first reaction was wow these are so soft. Then he says wow these are so easy to put on and take off. I love the string how you can leave as is, or tighten them, to whatever liking. When he walked around in them for hours, he says wow these shoes don't even need to be broken into they are already comfortable and cozy. Funny it was actually raining this day, wait it rains everyday here. It was pouring out, and he spent most the walking outside, and when it was a few hours later, his socks were still dry and his shoes were barely damp at all. When I got a chance to put them on, huge fan of flat shoes style shoes, I mean they are so much like not wearing shoes which is what I love.. It was always to hot back home to where shoes in 120 degree weather, so I would walk barefoot all my life. So when I moved to WA I knew that was going to change and new I needed to find flat shoes style to wear.. When I saw they were offering these, I knew I would love them. Even having a man tester and me, you get the 2 side idea, men are stubborn when it comes to shoes, woman think differently. These shoes are incredibly soft for shoes, inside and outside. They are small enough to fit on our shoe rack with my other shoes. Even though they are men shoes, I still enjoy trying them on. They went well with my bell bottoms and my long skirts. being gray and all, they pretty much match pretty much every bottoms I own. I like how the soles on the bottom are up higher and you are able to hit some standing puddles in them without the water hitting them. The material is very soft and cozy like. These shoes are made very well for the price offered to them. Since fathers day is coming up next month these would make a great fathers day present, and guess what a giveaway to win a pair for your man, dad, grandpa, or someone special in your life!Friday, August 15, 2014
Reviews of Timberland Men's Rugged Street Chukka
I'm submitting this review Apr. 2, 2011. My 2009 review is revised to reflect the updated version of this boot.
It saddens me to report that this boot was modified by Timberland and made much worse. I totally loved the previous version. Here are my findings after buying this latest model:
PROS:
Nothing was improved upon. I will say that, at least, the boot is still waterproof thus far.
CONS:
The worst change is in the shank supporting the middle of the foot. Before, the Rugged Street Chukka was a lot more rigid in the midsole area. It seems now that a weaker, more pliable material has been substituted. This new shank material allows uncomfortable pronation, or twisting and bending, of the shank when stepping onto uneven surfaces. I'd have paid more money if they'd left this design feature the same.
Next, Timberland raised the height of the toe box noticeably. A little might've been okay, but they went overboard for sure. I bought this boot in the correct length and width, but my foot still slides forward due to the tall height of the toe box. Also, the excess height of the toe section makes this boot appear more like a work or strictly outdoor boot. Previously, the design was much more urban and versatile, due to a shorter toe box. All change is not good.

I bought a pair of these in 14 W. Usually I try on any pair of shoes I buy, but it's almost impossible to find anything stylish in my size. They are awesome, and I wear them a lot, but definitely not for long periods of time. Most W and 2E width shoes I've bought fit perfectly, but the Timberland Wide seems to be narrower than most, so beware if you need the extra width. I still get my feet in fine, but I also usually where Orthotics, but the shoes are too narrow for them. All in all they're a good, durable shoe, just beware of sizing.Best Deals for Timberland Men's Rugged Street Chukka
Stylish and good looking shoe. Ordered 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear in other brands and they fit perfect. I hear that Timberland sizes usually work that way. Not the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had but feel pretty good and they work well. The bar was set pretty high by my Asics Allwalks Chukkas that haven't been made for a few years. Overall very pleased with the shoes.Honest reviews on Timberland Men's Rugged Street Chukka
I POSTED COMMENTS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SHOES'S. ( BUT FOR SOMEREASON MY COMMENTS ARE BEING ERASED) I PAID FOR NEW TIMBERLANDS AND THEY SENT ME OLD SHOES. THEY SENT ME SHOES THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY WORN. i BOUGHT A PAIR OF THESE ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. HOWEVER, I ALSO BOUGHT A SUPPOSEDLY NEW PAIR IN JULY. WHEN I RECEIVED THEM THEY LOOKED SO WORN OUT. THEY LOOKED SO USED, I COULDNT TELL THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN MY OLD PAIR AND MY SUPPOSEDLY NEW PAIR! I WOULD OFTEN PUT THE OLD SHOES ON ASSUMING THAT THEY WERE MY NEW SHOES. THIS IS HOW AWFUL THEY LOOK! BEWARE OF SHOEMALL! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! THEY SELL REFURBISHED OR RESUFACED SHOES. SHOE-MALL IS A LOW BUDGET PLACE.Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Timberland Men's Rugged Street Chukka

Review of Merrell Women's Salida Mid Hiking Boot
First of all, I love Merrells, so I fully expected to love this boot. When they arrived, I was a little nervous because I am not an avid hiker, and I was almost hyperventilating over spending this much money on a pair of boots that was probably not going to get a lot of use (I know...Merrells are expensive, but I'm a frugal gal, and expensive shoes need to be WORTH the $$$)...BUT my husband is taking me on a backpacking trip, so I needed something that was going to give me ankle support (since I managed to twist my ankle the last time we went hiking -without backpacksin regular trail shoes on a similar trail). I digress... I was pleasantly surprised when they arrived. The color is a little more "grayish lavender" rather than the "pinkinsh-lilac" my monitor shows...but monitors are all different, so I am not complaining. It's still a nice color. I was really happy with the fit, although I did purposefully order a half size up since I had another pair of Merrel Mid boots (Chameleon Arc 2) that my size was too small for me. I wear a 9.5 and decided to order a 10 in the Salidas. Glad I did, they fit perfect with my thick hiking socks. They were so comfortable that I forgot I was wearing them and spent most of the day walking around my house in them. It is very nice to NOT have to break them in. I may still get a different insole, but I don't think I'd HAVE to since I don't have major foot issues. (If I had bought them for my daughter who has severely pronated feet, I would definitely replace the manufacturer insoles with better ones for extra arch support.) I can't wait to try them on the trail. I'll try to get back to update how they handle the terrain. Overall, great shoes.
UPDATE: After an overnight backpacking trip on a easy-moderate mountain trail (carrying ~20lb pack), I still love them, but I am definitely going to replace the manufacturer insoles with some good insoles. They were fine for walking around the house, and probably would do well on a flat paved/"maintained" trail, but even though my feet weren't sore, they would have been "happier" with a little extra support. I still loved them the 2nd day after we finished and even wore them to walk around a botanical garden for a couple hours on the way home from our hike...no problems. I can't comment on the waterproofing b/c we only crossed one very shallow/narrow stream, and I really didn't feel like "testing them out" on purpose. :-)Great boot for walking anywhere, Very comfortable and I love the colors as I wear alot of purple!! i would order another pair from Amazon and be happy with them.
