Well made and comfortable, even for medium walks. Sizing runs 1/2 to a full size large, and I had to return the first pair, but one size smaller fits well.

True to size. Measure your foot by tracing it on paper and looking up a guide online. I ordered wide and they fit well.

These are very comfortable. They feel a little thin, but are good quality. I've put some mileage on them and they don't make my feet hurt at all.

I'm submitting this review Apr. 2, 2011. My 2009 review is revised to reflect the updated version of this boot.

It saddens me to report that this boot was modified by Timberland and made much worse. I totally loved the previous version. Here are my findings after buying this latest model:

PROS:

Nothing was improved upon. I will say that, at least, the boot is still waterproof thus far.

CONS:

The worst change is in the shank supporting the middle of the foot. Before, the Rugged Street Chukka was a lot more rigid in the midsole area. It seems now that a weaker, more pliable material has been substituted. This new shank material allows uncomfortable pronation, or twisting and bending, of the shank when stepping onto uneven surfaces. I'd have paid more money if they'd left this design feature the same.

Next, Timberland raised the height of the toe box noticeably. A little might've been okay, but they went overboard for sure. I bought this boot in the correct length and width, but my foot still slides forward due to the tall height of the toe box. Also, the excess height of the toe section makes this boot appear more like a work or strictly outdoor boot. Previously, the design was much more urban and versatile, due to a shorter toe box. All change is not good.

I bought a pair of these in 14 W. Usually I try on any pair of shoes I buy, but it's almost impossible to find anything stylish in my size. They are awesome, and I wear them a lot, but definitely not for long periods of time. Most W and 2E width shoes I've bought fit perfectly, but the Timberland Wide seems to be narrower than most, so beware if you need the extra width. I still get my feet in fine, but I also usually where Orthotics, but the shoes are too narrow for them. All in all they're a good, durable shoe, just beware of sizing.

Stylish and good looking shoe. Ordered 1/2 size smaller than I usually wear in other brands and they fit perfect. I hear that Timberland sizes usually work that way. Not the most comfortable pair of shoes I've ever had but feel pretty good and they work well. The bar was set pretty high by my Asics Allwalks Chukkas that haven't been made for a few years. Overall very pleased with the shoes.

THEY SENT ME SHOES THAT WERE PREVIOUSLY WORN. i BOUGHT A PAIR OF THESE ALMOST 2 YEARS AGO. HOWEVER, I ALSO BOUGHT A SUPPOSEDLY NEW PAIR IN JULY. WHEN I RECEIVED THEM THEY LOOKED SO WORN OUT. THEY LOOKED SO USED, I COULDNT TELL THE DIFFRENCE BETWEEN MY OLD PAIR AND MY SUPPOSEDLY NEW PAIR! I WOULD OFTEN PUT THE OLD SHOES ON ASSUMING THAT THEY WERE MY NEW SHOES. THIS IS HOW AWFUL THEY LOOK! BEWARE OF SHOEMALL! THEY ARE HORRIBLE! THEY SELL REFURBISHED OR RESUFACED SHOES. SHOE-MALL IS A LOW BUDGET PLACE.

Best Keep Unisex The Shaheen Chukka Deals

I stumbled upon Keep Shoes a few months back, and while I loved the look and design, I just wasn't ready to drop $75 on a pair. I particularly love the Shaheen, because chukka sneakers are hard to come by for women for whatever reason (big ups to Keep for making all their styles unisex!).

When I saw some styles and colors on Amazon for only 20 bucks, I couldn't resist. The only downside is these sale prices didn't include the styles I really wanted, but nevertheless I got the Shaheen in khakiI wasn't in love with them, but I figured at the price, it couldn't hurt to try them out. I'm typically a size 7.5-8 women's, these shipped like a breeze with Prime and the 8 fit me perfectly.

At first I wasn't too crazy about the look when I put them onI like most of my shoes to have thinner soles/skinnier profiles.

As I've worn them though, they've grown on me immensely.

I've gotten tons of compliments on them, they've held up great to full days of walking around the city (super comfy), and best of allI had no idea when I bought themthey're weatherproof!

I looked at Keep's site and saw that the khaki style is waxed. Clutch.

It's been a wonderful unexpected featureI've ditched my clunky rubber rainboots entirely and have rocked these babies in the rain and snow. My feet are always dry afterwards!

I'm definitely down to buy another pair. Thanks to Keep for making a great shoe!

I love the look of this shoe, but having large feet, I had hoped for better in terms of sizing. I ordered a woman's size 11W. It was more like 12 M. There were limited quantities available, so I just returned them. They would have had to have a size 10WWW based on the shoe I tried on, but this size did not exist.

By the way, returning them was made very easy by amazon. Thank you!
