This is a great looking and very comfortable shoe. I purchased the shoe in black and the leather is very high quality, but the color was much more grey than it looked in the picture. If you can get the brown boot at a good price I'd probably advise you to get that instead.

I originally bought these in 44 and switched them out for 43, they seem to run a bit large. After changing sizes they fit great. They bridge the gap for shoes that work with khakis if you need to be business casual but are also waterproof in case you have to walk through snow.

Comfortable immediatly, no break in required, plus they are waterproof, so I don't need to worry about stepping out into the rain or snow.

These shoes are great but with one glaring flaw (for me, at least). First they are comfortable and stylish. The sole is very solid feeling, a lot of reinforcement, and the comfort is what you can expect from Eccos...second to none. I walk 1 mile each way to work every day, and these are perfect. The one glaring flaw: that little tab that sticks up out of the heel. I like the cuff of my pants to fall evenly around my shoes, and that little tab messes that up often. A minor quibble, but a problem nonetheless. Just get rid of it and the shoe becomes perfect.

Run large, essentially half sizes only. The heel is not cupped toward Achilles tendon, so heel pads are necessary for secure fit. I also used tongue pads to keep my heel back and get a fit more like 9 rather than 9 1/2.

The boots are what I expected and inner sole is cushioned comfortable. Only negative I have is the cut of the boot is a little low does rub my cafes (I have large cafes) when walking great distances. These are nice designed dress boots that are water proof. I am going to test them in the snow (while on vacation)tomorrow. The rubber soles should do well on ice and snow (will see).

Just what I wanted in a pair of shoes.

-Easy slip-on design

-Great looking

-Extremely lite

-Waterproof

-Great quality material as I have no visual creases and scuffs and such. I guess its soft leather but of high quality. And yes I do wear these on a daily basis.

Cons:

-Well I do find these very comfy, BUT when standing in one spot for a very long time (like I do when riding the trains in NYC) my feet start to hurt. But when I am in motion walking (and I walk a lot) I have no problem with its comfort level.

If you are going to walk around in light rain from the parking lot to the office, they might be classfied as "waterproof". But for those of us who have to walk a few blocks, this is most definitely not waterproof. I live in new york. I walk to work. Most rainy days, the sidewalk drainage is blocked by leaves and/or garbage, so you have to go out of your way to avoid puddles. I figured with this boot I could take that in stride.

Apparently not. The problem seems to be in the toes. The heel and zipper are fine. I guess the water comes in through the seams on the top of the shoe.
