I originally bought these in 44 and switched them out for 43, they seem to run a bit large. After changing sizes they fit great. They bridge the gap for shoes that work with khakis if you need to be business casual but are also waterproof in case you have to walk through snow.

These shoes are great but with one glaring flaw (for me, at least). First they are comfortable and stylish. The sole is very solid feeling, a lot of reinforcement, and the comfort is what you can expect from Eccos...second to none. I walk 1 mile each way to work every day, and these are perfect. The one glaring flaw: that little tab that sticks up out of the heel. I like the cuff of my pants to fall evenly around my shoes, and that little tab messes that up often. A minor quibble, but a problem nonetheless. Just get rid of it and the shoe becomes perfect.

Run large, essentially half sizes only. The heel is not cupped toward Achilles tendon, so heel pads are necessary for secure fit. I also used tongue pads to keep my heel back and get a fit more like 9 rather than 9 1/2.
