I bought these boots right before the end of summer as I went back to school, and I looked pretty good for the first semester!

But then the sole separated from the upper and the leather just kind of disintegrated by the time christmas came around, and I haven't worn them since. Just get some desert boots or something instead.

Bottom line: The quality of this shoe doesn't match the price tag. I really enjoy OP products generally and think they have a lot of style. This boot however feels cheap, the insole is flimsy and the soles feel cheap. I'm worried after a few months of Manhattan trekking they'd be dust and I'd be out $150 bucks. Not worth it. I'm going to save a bit more and get a pair of Red Wings or Wolverines. I suggest you do to.

I ordered these boots and after trying them on and walking around the house, I returned them. The appearance is great and they look nice on, but when I was walking around they "squeaked" quite noticeably. The fit was about 1/2 size off, so I would order them a little smaller. The boots seem well constructed, and the soles had decent grip to them (compared to other ones I have tried on that were smooth.) Overall not a bad boot, and very comfortable--just not quite "it" for me.

Bought the boots in Grey. Size 11 in Clarks Desert Boots fits perfectly, size 11 here was small on me. Toes hurt after trying it on. I would suggest going a half size up, still very small toe box. Leather is soft and pliable with comfortable lining on the inside. I would recommend, but proceed with caution. Shoes felt cheaply made, had a few scratches and imperfections in the leather straight out of the box. Returned the next day.

The shoe is a nice looking shoe and is represented well by the photos. I've been looking for a nice Chucka-boot but I refuse to pay the 185 to 250 for those of a better perceived

quality. I'm not a huge fan of the crepe type rubber soles, but they are comfortable.

I've always been 11 1/2 in shoe size but I've recently had my foot fitted and I'm a twelve....at least the right foot is.

I purchase the 11 1/2 and they fit fine AND the width medium is also a true fit.

GOOD LOOKING...Overall, leather quality not bad at all.

My take. THOUGH 85 dollars isn't cheap...The MADDEN'S are not 250 dollars.

I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought these shoes due to the fact I liked the way they looked and the price. I have worn them 2 times (in doors) and they are already showing signs of wear with stress in the leather and in the heels.

They are a good looking shoe but I can tell that I will not get a lot of life out of them.

I wish I would have taken the $50 bucks I paid for these and added that money toward a more superior/ higher quality pair of shoes like Ecco or Johnston & Murphy.

I want to stress this review is of no ill reflection on Amazon but to the Steve Madden shoe.

The shoe is as advertised. The fit is just about right and it really looks good. I have already worn them on a long business trip and did notice a bit of chaffing on the left heal and some tightness in the toe area. The use of shoe trees with the back of the shoe folded in has taken care of the chaffing. I cut off the front part of the liner which took care of he toe area tightness.

Received order on time! Was happy about that. The color of the boot looks a little bit lighter on the picture. The reason why I gave it one star is because one of the boots looked like it had been worn already! the left one had a big crease..the bottom was worn out and boot itself was dirty!
