Boots show as a light brown but are actually a dark brown color which is better than the color shown in the picture. Very comfortable but with no arch support but space to add an insert. Sides go up to provide very good ankle support. Soft cushioned sole that is great for walking on pavement though they may not wear as long as harder soled shoes. Good chukka for the price and they look great.

I have wide feet, I'm usually able to break in shoes to my exact size. However, these wouldn't widen enough to a comfortable feel.

After a long night out, I always look forward to taking them off.

If it weren't for that single issue, these shoes would earn 5 stars.

Very possibly the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn in my life so I bought two in different colors. I have bad feet, plagued with plantar faciitis, a common ailment, so I am no longer able to wear a variety of brands that I once had no problem with. I can actually stay in this shoe all day, while other brands I often have to change shoes every two hours. Great quality, nice price.

Got these a few months back, I mainly use these shoes on the weekend they are very good weekend warrior shoes. Like my week I have long weekends and I can wear these all day with absolutely no fatigue. They are very comfortable and look great. I would def recommend these. Also easily consider buying another pair of TBNY.

This pair of shoes has the classic "buck" characteristics: suede upper and red rubber sole. However, the shape is modern without being trendy; the toe is slightly elongated and rounded nicely. They are very comfortable and fit true to size (I'm normally a 10 and ordered a 10). I've owned these for about one year and they've worn really well. I even like the way they look a little beat-up. Great price on sale too.

i was surprised at how poorly these shoes fit after owning a different pair of To Boot suede boots i got at Nordstrom (which are the most comfortble shoes i own).

-sizing: the sizing is totally off. not by a 1/2 size but at least a whole size. i wear size 9 on other To Boot shoes. i ordered size too big so i pay amazn the return shipping and order 8.5. too big again so i pay amazn another $5 to return. regardless of length, these shoes are way too narrow, which throws off the balance of the shoe. i can they would break down quickly since the sole is so narrow. they are marked medium width but really are extra narrow.

-comfort: these shoes don't come close to the normal comfort level of To Boot brand shoes. i wonder if they realized this and discontinued the model and tried to liquidate on amazon.

-looks/style: these shoes do look great. too bad the size and comfort are terrible.

i saw another reviewer call them clown shoes. very 'fitting' description.

in sum, these are not what you would expect for To Boot NY.

I'm a true size 7, on occasion I wear 6.5. These slippers fit like a 6-6.5, but more of a size 6. It would be okay if the sole wasn't a hard rubber that comes up around your foot, so if they're a little small your heel is on the rubber edge very uncomfortable. Otherwise, they are a pretty slipper.

These are okay for the price. Your heels come close to hanging off back edge while your toes don't even reach the front. The divider between the toes is a little uncomfortable. I guess I should expect too much for the price.

The shoe is a nice looking shoe and is represented well by the photos. I've been looking for a nice Chucka-boot but I refuse to pay the 185 to 250 for those of a better perceived

quality. I'm not a huge fan of the crepe type rubber soles, but they are comfortable.

I've always been 11 1/2 in shoe size but I've recently had my foot fitted and I'm a twelve....at least the right foot is.

I purchase the 11 1/2 and they fit fine AND the width medium is also a true fit.

GOOD LOOKING...Overall, leather quality not bad at all.

My take. THOUGH 85 dollars isn't cheap...The MADDEN'S are not 250 dollars.

I'm happy with the purchase.

I bought these shoes due to the fact I liked the way they looked and the price. I have worn them 2 times (in doors) and they are already showing signs of wear with stress in the leather and in the heels.

They are a good looking shoe but I can tell that I will not get a lot of life out of them.

I wish I would have taken the $50 bucks I paid for these and added that money toward a more superior/ higher quality pair of shoes like Ecco or Johnston & Murphy.

I want to stress this review is of no ill reflection on Amazon but to the Steve Madden shoe.

The shoe is as advertised. The fit is just about right and it really looks good. I have already worn them on a long business trip and did notice a bit of chaffing on the left heal and some tightness in the toe area. The use of shoe trees with the back of the shoe folded in has taken care of the chaffing. I cut off the front part of the liner which took care of he toe area tightness.

Received order on time! Was happy about that. The color of the boot looks a little bit lighter on the picture. The reason why I gave it one star is because one of the boots looked like it had been worn already! the left one had a big crease..the bottom was worn out and boot itself was dirty!

Always a bit skeptical about buying shoes online but after reading reviews, thought I would take a chance. I wanted a low, comfortable boot to wear with skinny jeans etc. I found these and when I read all reviews they mentioned to order a size down for accurate fit. I took a chance and ordered a size 9 (I wear a 9 1/2 mostly)..they arrived in two days (I LOVE Prime) and as soon as I tried them on, I loved them. They fit perfectly and there is no need to break them in. They are made very well and are a very sturdy boot. The only issue that I have is the color. When I chose my size they only gave me two choices for color. I chose the wine color. (would have much preferred brown but maybe my next pair) they are more of a purplish color. They won't match everything but hey, they are so comfortable, who cares :)....I highly recommend these to anyone looking for a good looking, comfortable well made boot. Next is a pair of high boots:)....

The only qualm is they do not come in bigger sizes. These run small so get a size up for sure. the 23 is small now for my son and he wears a seven and 7s are usually a tad big. These are easy to strap on and are sturdy. So cute. no smell on mine...so maybe hers were from an odd seller

I liked the style of these shoes, but they have the oddest smell. It only gets worse when your kid wears them and they heat up from his feet. The smell really bothered me and was powerful right out of the box. I guess it is the leather or the dye? But, he cannot wear them.
