I have had this shoe for about 3 months now and overall it is a good shoe. The shoe is VERY flexible, nearly comparable to a "nike free" shoe. It is a light weight shoe and holds up pretty well in the rain. Because this shoe is in fact light and flexible, it could be looked at first glance out of the box as cheap. With that said the actual materials it is made with inside and out, feel very sturdy. I have to wear higher socks with these because the back of the shoe rubbed on my ankle and that was unpleasant. A long sock solved the problem though. If you can find the leather chukka at a discounted price or if you have money to spend, it is a good buy!

These fleece-lined chukkas are waterproof, stylish and warm...perfect from fall to early spring for any casual occasion. I ordered the 10.5 D as advertised but it ended up being an 11.5 but fit with an insold -make sure you order the right size!

Cons: toes were colder than the rest of the foot, they are a bit narrow at the middle seam, the back edge of the boot scraped my ankle the first few days, thick socks recommended.

At this range I expect a shoe to be great quality. These feel poor, lucky if they last a year with frequent use.

These timberlands are designed to look like the classic timberland oxford or 6 inch boots but do remember these are their chukka boots. The materials are less durable. The sole is more rubbery. The line between the leather and the sole is not stitched in like high quality boots. That layer is just plastic formed to look like stitching. It is just held together with glue. The real tell tell sign is the weight difference.

However, I did not buy these for work, I bought them for winter snow. For this purpose they are perfect.

I noticed timberlands sometimes run big on some of their models. I would say get half a size smaller.

I gave them 4/5 because it lacks the quality i expected from timberland. The leather on these look the same as work boots, but they do not feel identical. Something feels lacking in these. They are good boots, but keep in mind there is areason these are cheaper. These are their casual boots.

These are possibly the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever owned! They look great, too. The only downside is you'll have to waterproof them, but it's not a big deal.

Wow! These shoes look and feel great. My first impression upon receiving them was that the simple stitching and leather cut would give way to a loose and sloppy looking shoe...boy was I wrong. They break in to look comfortable with a very cool casual look. They are great for cruising around town or for a more casual business look at the office with a pair of jeans (depending on your industry...mine is construction).

The best part of these is the back story for a good product manufactured under fair and ethical conditions in a place where that is found far and few between.

In sum, I love these shoes and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good chukka.

I bought the Oliberte Women's Toria boot. The quality and originality of the shoe is great. With the women's Oliberte shoes, the fit is definitely big. I wear a women's size 7.5, in Sidi cycling shoes (which run small) I wear a European 39, and I bought a size 38. I would definitely recommend going down 1 full size for women.

No problems with glue or sole coming off; read reviews about that and they've fixed the problem.

The only problem with Oliberte is the lack of sizes (If I were a size 6 or smaller in women's, they wouldn't have a size for me) and lack of women's styles (3). They should definitely make the popular men's sizes all the way down to size 34 or 35. I would 100% buy this Chukka if they had it in my size.

Great quality shoe; great quality leather. Feels unlike all of my other synthetic shoes.

I have worn this style of shoe for many years. They are very comfortable right out of the box and last well over 1.5 years in every day wear in a manufacturing environment. Additionally, they look better than your typical work boot with Khakis or jeans.

Steel toe too noticeable and distorts the front of the shoe. Sole looks like plastic and squeaks on vinyl floors.

Best Deals for Wolverine Men's W03834 Chukka

It took a long time to find a pair of US-made Chukkas. In fact, I think Wolverine stopped making these but I happened to come across a pair here on Amazon. They no longer appear on the Wolverine website. I wear these when doing landscape type work in my yard. I have an acre in Florida and there is plenty of professional-type work: Digging chain-sawing, etc. that require a durable and safe boot. My only complaints are the toe leather is wearing fast. But this is more of a result of the steel toe providing a stiff counter to the leather when pressed on rough surfaces. The uppers and soles are still in excellent condition almost a year later. No signs of splitting of the upper from the lower. Somewhat comfortable. My Thorogood's were much more comfortable but they stopped making the safety toe chukka.
