I've owned this boot for the past four years, and I have no complaints whatsoever. They have traveled around the world with me, been through mud, snow, slush, from the trail to the city. I've worn them throughout college, and they withstood countless spilled drinks, broken glass, and harsh winters. They are very comfortable, and waterproof. I have been buying these boots for 6 years. I buy a new pair every year to wear during the week for work. I move the previous years down to my weekend boots since I am quite an outdoor person and am always working on something. The boots last great and easily last a couple years of HARD use. Not only are they well made they fit like a glove from the time you first put them on. I have never had a break in period with these like most boots. These just fit right straight out of the box. I only hope Rocky continues to make this boot because I will never buy another again. I once had the Justin's version and they sole wore out within 6 months and were very uncomfortable for few weeks. Only thing is seems like the quality of the laces have went down the last couple pairs but that's minor.

I have had these boots for over a month now with about 4-5 miles of walking each day (up and down stairs, over conveyors, in the office, and outside in the dirt). I have not had them on in muddy or rough conditions but they work perfect for plant conditions. After learning the "mountaneering tie" for the laces, I have prevented most rubbing/blisters on my heel. They are made of a very durable and soft leather and look great. These are great for someone who wants the ruggedness and look of work boots without the loss of comfort or the ability to fit in in the office environment.

Wow! These shoes look and feel great. My first impression upon receiving them was that the simple stitching and leather cut would give way to a loose and sloppy looking shoe...boy was I wrong. They break in to look comfortable with a very cool casual look. They are great for cruising around town or for a more casual business look at the office with a pair of jeans (depending on your industry...mine is construction).

The best part of these is the back story for a good product manufactured under fair and ethical conditions in a place where that is found far and few between.

In sum, I love these shoes and would recommend them to anyone looking for a good chukka.

I bought the Oliberte Women's Toria boot. The quality and originality of the shoe is great. With the women's Oliberte shoes, the fit is definitely big. I wear a women's size 7.5, in Sidi cycling shoes (which run small) I wear a European 39, and I bought a size 38. I would definitely recommend going down 1 full size for women.

No problems with glue or sole coming off; read reviews about that and they've fixed the problem.

The only problem with Oliberte is the lack of sizes (If I were a size 6 or smaller in women's, they wouldn't have a size for me) and lack of women's styles (3). They should definitely make the popular men's sizes all the way down to size 34 or 35. I would 100% buy this Chukka if they had it in my size.

Great quality shoe; great quality leather. Feels unlike all of my other synthetic shoes.

Definitely a full size too big, order a full size smaller than your normal shoe size. I ordered 1/2 smaller and it's still to loose. Leather thin and cheap looking in person, immediately scratches and looks dried out. Laces not very good quality. Sole is interesting and kind of also fraying and cheap looking. The upper is thin and hard leather and can scrape up against your leg as you walk. Not as comfortable as I hoped either. It's a shame since it actually looks nice, but not in any of the other ways that matter. I feel for greater than a hundred bucks you should get a slightly higher quality shoe.. I'm going to look for another.

Great shoe. But I agree with other reviewers that you should order a full size smaller than normal. Exchanged it.

Edit 1: To care for this type of leather you'll need mink oil or similar, which will darken the color and smooth the texture. A rub down with saddle soap will return it to normal.

Edit 2: The way I walk (heel heavy) has worn down the rubber sole to the wood after 4 months. I will have to get a repair shop to put a new sole more durable on it. I still love the shoe, though!

I love these boots. They look great with jeans, khakis, or cordury pants. Very versatile and nicely made. You will want to size down a full size (I ordered a size 13, which is my actual shoe size, and then had to exchange them for a 12, which fit perfectly). Also, I wore them too quickly without breaking them in a few times for short periods first. I got some blisters on my heal, but after a few wears, they broke in nicely. For the price, these are made with high quality and durability, and they look spectacular. A+

These are nice looking boots. They have a wooden heel, a layer of leather in the sole, and a thin rubber tread. The leather looks nice, but really doesn't hold up to use. I wish I had spent the extra money and bought a higher quality boot.

I have been wearing these shoes for almost a year and they are great. They do run a little big so make sure to try and get a half size smaller than what you usually buy. They have Vibram bottoms and wood soles and are leather throughout. They are great quality and I get a lot of compliments on them.
