i bought these because they remind me of the sixties. the wooden heel is really made from wood, not panel. (funny story: i wore these on a motorcycle and they got a small burn on the heel, so i sanded it out and re-varnished it.) high quality shoe. higher quality that you usually get from Steve Madden(sometimes they are a little all over the place in quality). decently comfortable to wear. good balance between elegant and clunk. Match indigo jeans well.

Review of Dr. Martens Pendleton Boot
I bought the cherry red tan boots as a gift for my daughter. She has been wearing them 3-4 times a week. They work well with skirts, pants or leggings. They are adorable, and really look great with neutrals like beige, gray and black. She bought arch supports and said that made "a world of difference". There was a breaking in period because of the stiff durable leather, but she did not get blisters. She is very pleased with them and they will last for years.They are comfy, stylish pattern and run true to size. Extremely satisfied with all aspects of this product! Well made, as well.

I have bought this brand over the years. Still a comfortable fit without sacrificing style.
Only complaint is that when the product is posted, its origin should be listed (Made in ....). Reason being that the quality of the leather differs depending on the country of manufacture.
