Order a 1/2 size smaller than you would originally wear and you will be all set. Very comfortable and I have received many compliments.

they have to break in. the leather/suede can hurt the back of your foot. i have callouses now where my foot rubs against the back. however, they are very soft in other places. also, they run big. i have a 10 sneaker, a 9.5 dress shoe, and i got these in a 9. i had to return the 9.5s.

I really like the look of these and the leather seems nice and supple.

Have worn them for two separate days and the scraping of my achilles tendon is a dealbreaker.

I suppose they could "break in" but I prefer to keep my skin on my body. Comfort was not taken into account I have to say...

I've owned Steve Madden shoes before, so I knew what to expect. The boot took a few days of breaking in so that I didn't have to fight to get into it, but that was expected with a new slip on boot. After wearing them around for a few days they were well broken in and are now easy to get on and off.

I bought these right before a trip to London and Paris to use as my primary shoe for walking around both cities and they worked perfectly. Not too heavy as to weigh my feet down, but with plenty of support and a good sole so that spending hours on my feet exploring the city with my wife was no worries (especially when it rained and she was jealous of my boots while she had on tiny, soleless shoes).

Boots look amazing and have a natural/rugged look to them. However, would not recommend for working/walking with out buying a different sole. For normal width feet if you plan to get them for leisure go half size small as they run large. Otherwise if you will use them for work/walking and need a sole get them your normal size.
