They fit perfectly and the color is exactly what I wanted. However, the soles were so slippery I couldn't walk, so I took them to the shoemaker and had him but on a thin rubber sole on top of the sole. No I truly love them.

be aware of Euro sizing when ordering; consult the Ben Sherman website before placing your order with Amazon; their sizing cross-reference from Euro to US did not match the Ben Sherman sizing reference. I ordered according to the Amazon sizing and ended up returning my first order for a larger size according to the Ben Sherman sizing. They may have fixed the disconnect by now but look at both sizing guides just to be sure.

Easy return to Amazon and easy re-order and a good price under $100 after I saw these at retail the day before priced at $119

These shoes are far more beautiful in person than the photos suggest. The leather is soft to the touch, a beautiful color, nicely flexible, and the distressing tastefully done (at least on the pair I received). I like that they are a more solid version of a chukka, and have a 1" heel to boot.

However, the threads of the stitching on the sole are not cut into the leather, so if you did not immediately take the shoes to a cobbler to have a rubber sole put on, I think the threads would wear through quickly. The pair was also far larger than I expected, even though I consulted the Bed:Stu website's size chart before ordering. I usually wear a 39-40 or 9.5/10 depending on the manufacturer, and this 9.5 seemed as much as a whole size too large, in width and length, though this is untested. Although I like the shoes aesthetically, I won't be reordering in my size, mainly due to the stitching on the sole and what that suggests about the shoe's overall construction and design.
