One of the best shoe buys I've ever made, and for the price I couldn't be happier. They are a true fit, and the only thing I've had to 'work out' with them is how tight to tie the laces. Once I realized I shouldn't be lacing them as tight at traditional boots that lace all the way up, I was fine. Extremely comfortable, and surprisingly light on the feet. I would recommend that you condition the leather as soon as possible & definitely before wearing them in any kind of wet weather I like Dr. Martin's Wonder Balsam http://www.amazon.com/Dr-Martens-Dr-Wonder-Balsam/dp/B006QLUH3M/ref=pd_sim_shoe_1 . It's great for protecting & rejuvenating leather I've had one jar since 2002 that I have used religiously on all my leather shoes & messenger bag. A little definitely goes a long way! I plan on buying a pair of these is suede.

As other reviewers mentioned, this is one stiff boot. The fit was fine, and the price fantastic. I wore them for a week and they held up great. But they didn't break in fast enough and gave me serious blisters on my heels. Packed 'em up and dropped them off at goodwill.

I liked the fit/price so well that I bought 2 pair!

The one adjustment I had to make (suggested by another Reviewer) was to Not tighten the laces tight! Others wrote about the leather having less flexibility than desired at the ankles! The solution for me was to keep the laces looser than on other ankle boots that I have (Clark's)! While that option sounds counter-intuitive, the "fit" of the boot holds the foot in place and there is little need to "strap" the boot with the laces!

If the price is good in the Fall I'll likely get another color!

I expected subtle leather but what I got was stiff foot hurting shoe that was a pain to wear. I would send these back and say wear them in for me about ten years and maybe by then they will be soft enough to wear.
