***Edit*** 4-13 These shoes have gone far downhill. I have worn them probably a total of 12-15 times and the bottom has completely crushed in. The heel portion has caved in through the insole and is splitting inside so that my heel is now lower than my toes. I peeled up the insole and it looks like the entire sole is basically hollow so you slowly push down through the insole and sink. I'm 6'1" and 175lbs, not over weight in the slightest. I'm truly disappointed in these shoes. The lack of quality is astounding in comparison to pairs I have owned in the past. I'm too far out to return them so I got to wear some lovely but poorly made shoes out a few times for my money. Complete crap.

11-12 Now I get to play the part of the aging punk rocker shouting about how "in my day..." Okay, not quite. These shoes are still the most stylin', most comfortable shoe to let people know you're a little different but... The pair I got were not perfect. In one of the shoes, the stitching around the toe was pretty far off from centered. Kinda makes it look like one of my feet is sticking off to the side all the time. Also, when did TUK start using shoelace instead of leather for the toe stitching? I know it is minor but it is also a knock against a great shoe. Either way, they are no longer made in U.K. and so what do you expect from a far too young asian boy working in a sweatshop for slave wages. Try not to think about that when you're strutting in your brothel creepers (proper name of the style of shoe).

I bought these to attend the Viva Las Vegas Rockabilly Weekender in April. They were a big hit. Not only are they incredibly "stylin'"... they are very comfortable. You can also dance in 'em if you feel the urge. Highly recommended.

qyality went down a BIG time since they make them in china.before these shoes were strong solid but now they just don't last. 2 month later the sole is already cracked on both of the pair that i ordered. it make an annoying squeaky noise every step i take.

i am not going to buy TUK shoes again. i found a brand"underground" made in england. much much better.

This boot has some of the most aggresive lugs and coolest stance of any boot I've ever owned. I work in the railroad industry and have been wearing boots for 20 years and these are by far the coolest. I'm torn on my opinion of these shoes. They are indeed so comfortable and unbelievably adorable. However, the quality of the suede and the rubber sole is really lacking. I've been wearing these for 2 weeks (almost every day) and the suede around the toe of the shoe and the edges are already really worn down.

The rubber sole is starting to come off on the heel. However, like I said, they are really comfy so I don't have complaints about how they feel. It's how they wear.

You get what you pay for, because they are quite cheap. But I don't regret buying them because I kind of like the rugged look sometimes. I'll wear them until they completely tear to pieces!

This BED:STU Men's Uncle Dowell Boot (Black, size 9.5D) was my first purchase from Bed Stu, and probably my last.

I liked the style, and the price had dropped significantly, so I bought a pair. I normally wear a 9-9.5, and ordered a 9.5, thinking I'd rather it be a little too big than a little too small. When I first took them out of the box, I was surprised by how flimsy the leather is, and by the thinness of the sole. But, knowing I'd be wearing them in the summer, I thought that might be a good thing. What wasn't a good thing, though, was how small they were; before I even tried them on, I saw them in comparison to a similar pair of shoes I own (a size 9), and these "size 9.5D" Bed Stu shoes were obviously smaller, and narrower. But I put on a pair of thin socks & tried them on. These shoes are nowhere near a size 9.5D (medium) I'd say they fit like a size 8.5D or a 9 narrow.

Fortunately, Amazon has a great return policy, and I can send them back for free.

My 2 1/2 year old LOVES these pink boots! My goodness! She screams and cries when it is time to take them off and put them away at the end of the day. She'd like nothing more than to wear them all day around the house, and repeatedly practice taking them on and off. These boots run true to size. My childs foot measures an 8 1/2 and the 9 fits comfortably and will last nicely into this Fall/Winter. High quality suede and padding. This was my first pair of shoes from the Jumping Jacks company but I think they are much higher quality than say a Stride Rite boot.

My daughter really wanted pink shoes but so many out there looked so annoyingly pink. These , yes they are still completely pink, but somehow with the big flower, just look cuter. Toe guard prevents ugly scuffs and they are super easy to get on and off by herself. Quality is very good.Size runs full, great for wide feet.

The quality of the boots is excellent and they are not too heavy and pretty flexible. And best of all, my daughter loves them and can't wait to wear them.

I would say that they run true to size I bought size 12 for my 5-year old, and eben though I was concerned that it may be too small, but it was actually perfect, with s little room to grow.

I am a size 9/40 and these boots were just a little small. If I liked them enough to keep them I would have sized up to the 10. I bought these because they are a "inspired" by similar Swedish Hasbeens but they didn't quite make the cut. The leather is nice and thick and the wood is okay, but the soles are the problem. The cut of the sole along the bottom lacks the curve necessary to propel you forward when walking. Instead they just sort of clomp straight down on the floor. I think experienced clog makers have this problem all resolved, but SM hasn't quite figured it out yet. If you don't mind clomping around like a clydesdale all day, then the $150 you'll save is worth it. Made in Mexico, otherwise decent craftsmanship. Color is pretty true to picture as well.

Reviews of Chaco Mens Brio Boot

Since buying my first pair of Chaco sandals (12 years ago) I have been waiting and waiting for Chaco to design and release a smart looking casual shoe.

The Brio has achieved a great balance of style, functionality, and comfort that is (let's be honest) really hard to find in chukka style boots. Whereas most boots of this kind are stiff, heavy, and (apparently) crafted with troll feet in mind...the Brio is lightweight, Chaco-comfy, and much sleeker than I expected from the photos on Chaco and Amazon's sites.

Probably my biggest surprise (a good one) is that the boot is not clunky at all it fits more like a high-top basketball shoe than it does a Timberland or Red Wing boot. This is a good thing!

I can't wait for my new Brio boots to get that "Chaco Patina" with time.

Highly recommended. I'm already debating which other color I should buy next.

I loved the look of these shoes so I bought them in the Taupe and Dark Brown. These are super high and I will need to practice as I have lost my skills in walking in heels. However, the fringing on these shoes really add that extra something and I believe that the streamlined platform and heel will ensure these last many season and not date too quickly. The brown colour is spot on and the taupe is actually darker then in the picture. The picture looks more bone white in my opinion. The only comment, with the style of the boot, as it slopes down in the front, in the brown bootie, the inner contrast lining does stand out a little as the shaft or opening of the shoe is quite wide. It doesn't bother me however some people might not like that look.

Overall a very sexy shoe, that adds a little bit of something to your outfits.
