Love them so far. I needed one piece shiny black shoes that could double for formals ( I WILL NOT wear patent ) and they hit the mark. The leather is extremely soft which is nice because the tracks are barely noticeable when they break in (which only took till lunch on the first day) so a little polish and they transform into formal evening ready.

The three pairs of Winstons I describe below comprise my only experience with To Boot New York, and I will not be buying another pair of shoes from them for the reason listed below.
I ordered these shoes in brown over a few years ago. They took a week to break in, but were good-looking, aside from some leather creases in the usual places, very nice shoes...
...but only for less than a year.
I wore these shoes every other weekday, walking in the city for about 15 minutes every day. In 11 months, the leather on the soles had worn so thin, the stitching having completely worn away, that a hole appeared and split open the bottom of the left shoe. The right shoe was just about getting there. I don't expect this to happen for a shoe of this price.
I contacted To Boot NY's customer service and was told to contact the seller, Amazon.
Fortunately, Amazon agreed to replace the shoe. Unfortunately, the replacement pair sent to me had ugly crease marks around the tongue of one of the shoes, and note that the replacement pair was newly out-of-the-box.
I shipped the replacement pair back to Amazon and they sent me a third pair, which looked nice and flawless enough. But I soon discovered how flawed they were. The top of the left shoe had about half a centimeter less of leather, making it tight around my left toe. I found it hard to get my foot in the shoe at the beginning, and the problem persists after a month of wearing it. Because there was less leather space at the top, a series of harsh creases appeared on the left shoe, ruining its appearance. Every time I bend my foot, the crease bends into the top of my foot, creating a painful callus.
I was very disappointed in the quality of these 300+ dollar shoes and do not recommend them. Despite how nice they looked, they either broke, were defective, or hurt me.

These are a very nice brown leather matching the photo well. A bit of darker dye on the toe. The craftsmanship is great and the leather is very supple. I feel they fit true to size. Pricey, but if you're looking for a high quality Italian shoe with classic styling this looks like a good one. The color and style make it a purchase you'll be able to use for many years.

The only issue I have is that the laces that are advertised are not the ones that come with the shoe. The ones in the add really make the shoe pop so be prepared to spring for laces when you by this shoe.
