I was expecting an arch support similar to Pikolinos shoes in malls, but since no one in Ca. carries the boot I had to buy them online. Loved the look while not very satisfied with the lack of arch support.

After spending $85 on inserts I think they will be ok, but what really bothers me is that with the insert upgrade these cost closer to $290 instead of the $200 I expected and the overall boot-quality is not worth $290!

Cheap Lauren Ralph Lauren Women's Darby Boot

Love these Ralph Lauren boots. I went a 1/2 size smaller after reading other reviews and they fit fine. (I had to return the first pair because of the shoddy workmanship on that pair; there was glue spilled over from where the sole meets the shoe and it was on the suede in several places plus the stitching on one shoe was coming off.) My replacement pair is perfect, no excess glue on the suede and stitching is perfect. The boots are also comfortable, not as comfortable as my Naturalizer boots but more comfortable than my Nike sneakers! lol I bought the "dark olive" pair and they look like a pretty brown color. The other "brown" colored boots look stark whereas these have a more textured look and are not too green as true "olive" would be. I'd consider these brownish. They remind me of the "waffle stomper" boots we used to wear in the 80's in Okla. & NY, but these are now more girlie. :)

This boot is the perfect blend of fashion & function. They run a full half-size large (in my opinion), so it would be a good idea to order a half-size down from your regular size. Other than that, they are just what I was looking for... sporty & a bit rugged, yet stylish. The heel height, paired with the lug-sole make them extra comfortable; even after hours of wear. The brown is a deep, rich, color & the suede is of high quality. These are great boots for cold weather.

I thought that this heel may have been too high for me but really liked the color so decided to give the shoe a try. Surprisingly, it was very comfortable and i was standing for close to 3 hours at an event. The color is beautiful, very neutral and the fit is normal. I am planning to order the black leather too. You will not be disappointed if you get these boots!

I love these boots! They do run a half size big but I ended up getting my regular size anyways as half sizes are limited. I found that with a padded shoe insert that this not only added to the comfort of walking but it made the shoe feel tighter. Additionally I normally wear thin ankle socks with most boots but doubled and it is a perfect fit! Great style, these work well with so many things in my closet.

These are a sturdy pair for shoes, I would not say well constructed though.

For me they seem to be missing some quality on details, so to make them more of a fine shoe. For example, the edges around the top of the ankle are not sealed with detail but just left unfinished and the leather quality is just alright.

I have to say that there is a strong smell like paint not sure if it is from the leather or the sole of the shoe that has lasted for weeks now.

Ironically, although they seem to be named after some Italian shoe-maker, they are just another pair of shoes made in China, don't let that to mislead you.

Moreover, I am not quite sure I needed to order a size smaller than I used to wear. They seem to be a little too tight on the sides and upper foot.

The good thing is they're cheap and look pretty nice the first time you take them out of the box.

The bad thing is, the fold badly right away on the top after walking just a bit. If they were black maybe you couldn't tell the fold too much but since I got the gray it is obvious. Again, folds real bad right away, I wouldn't buy if I were you.

The boot are nice. They look good. However, if you go to Dillard's, Macy's or any other department store that carries chukka's try those on. More than likely they will not have these polo chukka's. Try on Clarks or Johnston & Murphy or which ever brand. Those Chukka's have a little narrower front. The Polo Chukka boot does not. So looking down on them they look a little odd. Also it feels like there should be another hole for the laces. They have a loose feel to them.

Now with jeans on from the side in front of a mirror they really do look good. Size seems to be right on. I ordered a 9 and they seem to fit pretty good. Also I should note that in some shoes I can wear a 8 1/2 for what that added detail is worth.

The other thing is that I paid around $109.00. A decent pair of chukka's will actually cost around $150.00 so in that aspect they don't feel like they would hold up for a long time. The material feels a little thin.
