Boot is slightly over-sized. Price compared to what the local retailers sell it for is fantastic. I bought the leather version instead of suede because I wear a size 13 and tend to knock things when I walk and felt these would hold up better. I like the styling, they are very comfortable. Area around the ankles takes a bit to break in but once the break in are no issue. I will buy again (hope these last me awhile though). The only gripe I have is they are made in China (not that I am racist, would just like to see my money stay in this country).

This is my first pair of Johnston & Murphy Chukka boots. I have owned the original Clarks, but I liked the color and shape of these. I have to say they are great. I wear them to work almost everyday in NYC (except rainy days). I did spray them with a suede protector, but for now I wear them on dry days. They go great with jeans and khakis. I walk in NYC alot, they are comfortable even after a long day of subway rides and running up and down stairs. I was surprised by the complements I got from other guys on the boots. That never happens to me. Great buy and cheaper than on Zappos.

I happened to try on these shoes while barefoot and I am glad I did. These shoes are the most comfortable pair of boots I have ever worn. True to size. Classy look. I feel like Ronald Reagan because there is a famous pic of him wearing this style of boot.

I've been wearing chukka boots for years. Cabela's had decent ones but stopped selling them, so I had to go elsewhere. Johnston and Murphy make excellent shoes (been wearing my dress J&M black shoes for 10 years now), so my expectations were high. I was not disappointed. Chukka boots tend to wear a little bigger on my feet owing to their design. They fit just right for me.

If a chukka tends to "slosh" around your foot a bit, don't be surprised. They were designed for battle in World War II during the African campaign. Obviously technology has made them much better since then. If you expect them to "fit like a glove" then chukkas may not be right for you. Either way, this is a beautiful pair of shoes that goes well with casual or "dress casual" attire.

And by the way Clarks chukkas are not very good. Stick with other brands.

First of all i was looking for a pair of booties that looked casual but stylish at the same time, as i've seen lately in adds and celebrities kids wearing this type of boots, or should i call them booties? since they are below the ankle, the quality is very high, extremely comfortable, my boy love this shoes, no complains here. I got them in color Sand with the red sole, the sole is not as hard and resistant as i would expected, i don't know if is going to be that durable, but i guess it has to be like that if you are looking for some comfort too, it is a very soft and flexible material, I had no idea that Florsheim made shoes for kids , i was excited to try this, since they have the best reputation in the shoe industry, my boy loves them but i love them even more! I would highly recommend this. Buying them in the color navy very soon.

Purchased these for my son and had to return very disappointing because they are so cute. The length was the right size (perhaps even a little long) but my son's narrow feet could not even fit into the boot with socks on! Had we sized up, they would have been way too long. So impractical.

Return was quick and easy, at least.

This is an excellent product with a picture perfect appearance and an exceptional craftsmanship. For many decades I have been wearing boots only by Florsheim and on this particular "Duke" this is my 5th pair. Everytime I wear this it gives combination of perfect fit and comfort. This product goes well with a bussiness suit as well as with a jean. Strongly recommend this product due to overall excellent presentation.

For the year 2009 I have bought 6 pair of boots and four of them are from Florsheim. Now that i am retired, that is all i wear are boots. All my boots are well made. Thanks to all the foreign made boots i can afford that.

I dance often and dress. This is a very nice and attractive boot. The 13 EEE is tight for me. Wish it were a little wider. This is my second pair. Can't find any other like it in this color and have received many compliments. It's built well and will last. My feet are wide EEE and except for running a little small for me, I nice.
