Review of Clarks Men's Bushacre 2 Boot

The only difference between this and the standard Clark's Desert boot is the slight difference in the choice of colors and the fact that this has a synthetic sole (and a very durable one) rather than the natural crepe sole. I sprayed waterproofing silicone on it before the winter (the dirtiest, messiest NYC winter in my 50-year memory), and this did not change the color at all, but at the end of the winter the boots were completely unscathed by the snow and ice the city failed to clear (little kids were trying to help the city's snow-plows!). No slipping or sliding, no water ever touched my socks, my feet were warmer than one would expect, and they cleaned off easily. The laces started giving out after all that heavy use, but for $2 they're easily replaced.

The other on-line shoe place has all the models, and I have 2 of those other Clark's Desert Boots as well.

If it's a Clark's Desert Boot, I'd say you can't go wrong.

I normally wear 10.5-11, and I ordered a 10 in these. 9.5 would have been perfect, but I just put some insoles in and it fits great and looks great!

The Bushacre 2 is a great quality piece of footwear. The Beeswax color on the bushacre is lighter than the Desert boot, just to be warned. I would recommend sizing down a 1/2 size. For reference, I wear a 7.5 in Sperry's sockless, and a 7 sockless/crew sock in the Bushacre 2. At the price point Amazon is offering, believe it's worth it.

Honest reviews on Clarks Men's Bushacre 2 Boot

I, like many people, initially intended to buy the classic Desert Boot. However, upon online research I found that the Desert Boot's crepe sole performed poorly in wet conditions. This new information led me to these; their rubber sole apparently retains their grip in such in wet weather. As I live in snowy Minnesota, this was the deciding factor for me. So I purchased these. Their shipment was standard, and they came in their original packaging. After a few wears, I became enlightened with several profound truths. Firstly, this footwear has very little cushioning, and it is very flat. If one had flat feet, I imagine these shoes would be quite pleasurable. I have a very arched foot, so the lack of comfort is very prominent. The only cushioning is in the heel, and despite this it is here where I experience the most discomfort. The second truth is this footwear's low leather quality. I purchased the "beeswax" version, and although it is leather, it has a very suede-like feel. It is absolutely nothing like a more expensive leather boot, such as a Red Wing. Lastly, I find the laces to be somewhat flimsy. They are very skinny, and knots form frequently. Ok, enough of the pessimism. For 70 dollars, this is a pretty damn good shoe. I only experience discomfort when walking on hard surfaces, and so far the sole has held up very well to rain. If your only desire is to add a chukka boot to your shoe collection, then I would recommend this product. If you want a nice, sturdy boot for everyday wear, I would look elsewhere. There are much better options, especially if your budget raises to $150. Chippewa comes to mind.

Love these shoes! I got them in the brown leather, and they have held up pretty well. I had to condition them and wear them in a bit, but they are my go-to shoes now. Beautiful!

Purchased these for my 19 year old son who already had one pair of Vans that he really liked. These look just as described and are a comfortable, true fit for size 11. Would recommend. Plus they come with extra pair of black shoe laces not mentioned.

Absolutely great boots. The quality of leather and workmanship is just top-notch. I in fact have several US-made Frye's before, and this pair of Mexican-made boots seem to use better leather. I actually think that the leather here is better than that of Allen Edmonds (which I also have). Amazon again has the best price.

These boots are very well constructed and the leather and lining are of good quality. They are narrower than a similar pair of Wolverine 1000 mile boots I have, and the toe box is shorter (perpendicular to the ground) as well. I like the snugness, but there isn't really space in this shoe for any kind of insert (I have some Sole insoles in those Wolverines, and they are both the same size shoe). Unlike many leather soled shoes, I was surprised to find that these come with a nice amount of cushion in the footbed.

This is a high quality boot, well constructed with good materials. The leather was a bit stiffer than I expected, but it is breaking in well. There is initially a bit a slip on the toe when walking, as the rubber sole does not extend to cover the toe. This is an odd choice, but the leather roughens up quickly. Others have commented on the boot being made in Mexico. This might have a psychological impact, but the quality does not seem to have been affected.

Reviews of Dockers Men's Tussock Boot

The main problem I had before ordering these shoes was that I could find no information or reviews about them whatsoever. So I ordered them on the hope that they would be a good fit, be of good quality, and would not look bad on me. They do all three. They look very much like the Clarks desert shoes, and are very comfortable. They look good with Jeans, khakis and chinos, they fit to size (I'm an 8 but got an 8.5 size as I sometimes wear thick woolen socks in the winter) I've bought 3 pairs of Dockers shoes (dress shoes and boots) before and I have not been disappointed with any of them. And the price was good value too. I recommend them!

Great product. The shoes were hardy yet comfortable and great for keeping my feet warm in the colder weather. The delivery was also prompt. Ordered it on Sunday and got it by Wednesday!

Received this boot today. This item was to the EXACT to what I was looking for. When you order lots of shoes and boots etc.

Most of the time they don't fit right. They don't feel good. Then here come the shoe stretchers bla bla. Listen to me, my good reviewers and reviewer readers. If you like this style of boot, its on the money. Meaning, these boots are made of mostly leather.

Of course, the sole is not leather, as we know leather soles does not tend well in rocky terrain, or even street walking.

The sole is made of what appears to be a heavy cork and rubber, making it pretty tough and durable.

Friends I highly recommend these boots, if that's what you are seeking. Good Looks. High Quality. The boot that fits your

feet right out of the box. Light, comfortable......

Honest reviews on Dockers Men's Tussock Boot

Shopped around for a good pair of Chukkas. Found these fellas. Liked the look and feel, so I bought em. They look great, perform well. I also gave each boot about 3 coats of Obenauf's LP to waterproof and protect them, so hopefully they'll hold up in the winter (not sure how they'll do in the snow). The coating did darken them, so they're more of a chocolate rather than red brown, but still look good. Also replaced the laces with some leather laces.

Only downside is that it began to crease pretty quickly, but I guess because I did a lot of breaking in. Keeping them in a shoe tree when not wearing them might help.

Dang handsome boots, got a few compliments from ladies on these. Was skeptical because Dockers aren't necessarily known for their chukkas (such as clark's with the desert boot/bushacre 2) but they're pretty darn nice.

I was so glad we found these nice real leather boots for my son. They are extremely well made and offer great support for little feet. The "spikes" on the back provide a touch of whimsy without being over-the-top. I will seek out Livie & Luca shoes again!
