I bought the black. If I didn't already have a pair of brown chukkas, I would have bought those I bet they look incredible. I wear a 10.5 and got these in size 10, they fit me well. The boots look great (smell great too... mmmm leather). They are perfect for jeans when you want a casual bordering on dressy look, but not too dressy. They are uncomfortable for the first 6 to 10 times you wear them, but get more comfortable as they break in. My big complaint is they arrived sprayed with some white stuff on the leather and soles, it looks like paint overspray. I wasn't looking for a paint-overspray look, but luckily it wipes off easily with the leather wipes I use to clean my couch. NOTE TO FRYE: Please include cleaning/care instructions, these are $238 boots and I don't want to screw them up.

The Frye James Chukka boot is a worthy addition to the Frye line. It's leathers are top grade and they buff to a rich shine, just like the James lace up boot. I hesitated to get the Chukka because it's so similar to the lace-up, but having this pair allows me to alternate wearing the two pair. This lets each pair dry after wearing and will extend the life of both. I heartily recommend these boots to you.

A nice boot and true to size for me. A bit stiff around the ankles at first, but breaking in nicely. Might even buy a brown pair of James. I'd recommend them.

Really great look. The leather has a broken in look to it that adds a lot. The fit was prefect.
My one reminder to others shopping, Frye shoes require a break in. The first couple days on your feet are tough. I highly recommend a shoe tree to help if you have a high instep like I do. It really helps the break in process to put the shoe tree in for a few days before your first wear.
I'm not sure how to care for the boot, but it looks like it will last forever.

Not one of FRYE's most comfortable shoes, but a good overall fit and style. I bought to primarily wear with jeans and khakis and for that purpose that are great. Fit seems true to size and with dressing that won't show blemishes too easily. Would recommend if you are looking for a more casual chukka...
