I had another pair of boots similar to these that lasted almost 13 years with regular use. This is very similar to that one and I am pleased with this later version. I recommend sole inserts such as Danner's Airthotic Instep Arch Support for an even better, more comfortable fit. I wear the size I ordered (9-1/2)and they fit nicely. If you wear heavy socks, it may take 1/2 size larger.

I like this boot except for the top 2 lace catchers/loops. I'd prefer them to be eyelets. My hands are not what they used to be and the laces keep slipping out of the loops as I'm trying to tie. They're pretty comfortable though.

I have always had to buy a medium width for the shoes I like so I am not sure on the fit just yet or if they will stretch out and become to wide but they feel good out of the box.

Good fit right out of the box. After second wearing felt like home. Wish it had the GoodYear welt stitching on soles (like Country Side Chukka) so soles could be replaced. Also would like color to be more like that of Country Side ... little darker/redder brown.

Boots fit well. The boots were supple enough that I didn't have to go through the "agony" of breaking them in. I've worn Irish Setter Wellington Boots for over thirty years so I expect these boots to perform well.
