Timberland Men's Heritage Premium Waterproof Chukka Boot Review
Timberland 50061 Newbuck Chukka is the same as this black chukka. This is THE most comfortable and lightweight all around no BS boot I've ever worn. There's no Thinsulate but it is very water "Proof" I'm sure you don't want to walk into a pool with them but again, they are great boots Make sure you get the 50061 they have a lighter sole than the other Timberland boots less "Beefy" I use them for work and for the gym as well. Just all around the best boots I've ever worn. For Deep snow I would say get an 8' at least boot but for hiking, gym, work from CA to NY the 50061 is great. The new buck gets dirty fast so get 2 pair. One for beating on and one for going out "styling" if you will. Again, very light weight, true to size can't beat em for under $100.00. Great for landscaping, hunting, you name it. If you need severe cold weather you may try something with an Insulate if not these are the best boots ever made. The Black model is a different # but exactly the same just in Black Leather.
Try to find laces at your local dollar store. My laces went on the 3rd year. I wish they came in a steel toe. These are the Original timberland old school no nonsense no fluff and very light. One thing they are not anti slip. I would say they are a great casual going out boot for every day, for hiking, or outdoor work. For slippery places try the Carolina brand they are USA Made. These Timberlan unfortunately are made in Taiwan. I'm paying a bit more now for boots buying only USA made like Carolina, Bates and Danner. These are probably the 3 best top of the line boots out there. There are a few other great ones but these are the 3 brands I'm using now. Timberland is a top of the line Commerical boot. Again, Buy USA, and our Japanese Friends as well as Mexico and Canada folks also Germany. I love these boots but after stocking up I'm only buying USA now. Farwell my fine foot friend. Timberland come back home to the USA!!!!!

I read reviews of these before buying this pair I have bought two pairs of Timberland boots before, one pair thats literally lasted app. 20 years with a lot of use, and another pair that only lasted two years. I received these in yesterday, and will update the review if they don't break in well or last. So far my impressions are 1. Accurate to size, 13w, I wear New Balance / Nike wide tennis shoes as additional reference 2. Comfortable, but not cushiony if you know what I mean, I wore them all day yesterday without blisters or sore spots 3. I was expecting non insulated boots, which I got, but these are still warm to hot gussetted tongue and no ventilation means these are not a boot I am looking forward to wearing on a construction site in the middle of a Texas summer. To date if I had to have 1 boot only it would be these in Brown, Black and Newbuck. Oh wait I do LOL. They have a fiberglass shank so they are VERY Light. They are great for farm, hiking and work. Very long lasting and waterproof design. They are very comfortable and are a great value if you can get them for your price. I've had a pair for the farm for 5 seasons and they are going strong. They do run true to size if anything they are 1/2 size over. I'm a 12 and have both 11.5 and 12's. I prefer the 11.5 though not much of a difference. The Nubuck are great but get dirty rally fast so I only use the nubuck for farm work. The Brown and Black are nice for keeping polished.Try to find laces at your local dollar store. ARGH! The shoestring broke and there is no way to change the shoestrings due to the design of the strings on the sides. I have tried and tried to figure this out but my sons boots have been sitting here for weeks needing shoe strings changed. They are sown in on the side but they are part of the main shoe string.Very comfortable. I'm on my feet all day, and my feet are sore when I get home. These don't stop the soreness entirely, but my feet do feel better since I bought them.

Discount Red Wing Heritage Men's Beckman Chukka Boot
Purchased the Red Wing Beckman in brown a few weeks ago and the reviewer is 100% correct that they're stiff for a while. I broke mine in by wearing them for short amounts of time the first week and then all day thereafter. While the sticker price is difficult to get past when you see boots of similar styles for 1/3rd the price, once you live with them for a while you'll totally understand what kind of value you are getting for your dollar (or $300 to be exact). I was recently in an "upscale" shoe store with my wife and ventured to the men's section. They had a boot similar is style for half the price but the quality was junk in comparison to the Red Wings. The nice thing about these is they can be resoled. Many less expensive, rubber soled imitations cannot. Finding your size can be tricky with these so I would advise being fitted in a shoe store. I typically wear a size 10 and the 9.5's fit perfectly lengthwise but are just a bit narrow in the toes especially later in the day when your feet tend to swell. I'm wishing I would've gotten the 10's and just wore thicker socks. Apply a bit of mink oil (including the leather part of the sole and stitching) after you first get them and then again every few months and they are pretty much indestructible. Oh and also be prepared for many compliments!

I've had a pair for almost a year. They're pretty comfortable for a double-oak leather sole with stacked heal. Be warned, if your feet sweat a lot, these boots do not breath at all! The leather will also stain your socks. I had to use leather softener to break them in, even with wearing them 2-3 times a week. They're pretty stout boots, I could get at least 3-5 years out of them (after having them resoled). I usually wear a 9.5E in dress shoes, but the 9.5D offered is plenty wide. These boots are amazing. They take about a week to break in, but after that are very comfortable. They are extremely versatile, and can be worn to/with about anything. Please note that they do run a bit large. I generally wear a 10.5 in most common brands (nike, adidas, etc.), but had to size down to a 10 in these. The Bad: Creases easily, and noticeably hard to put on (purchase .5-1 size larger than your actual size.
The Ugly: IF you happen to go into an alternate dimension, and find yourself in opposite world, than these could be considered ugly.
Overall: 3.5-4 stars (hard to decide)

1 word, awesome. Generic Surplus again proves their shoe-designing skills with this great zapato! There sleek, stylish, and scream "interesting" with the Native-American inspired mini-skirt going along the outer edge of the shoes back-half. But sadly there is a flaw in these shoes, while yes its cool that their full leather, often when it comes to having a leather-upper, a very evident crease can form on the top of the shoe from where your foot bends as you walk. Discount Timberland Men's Newmarket 5-Eye Chukka Boot
These are really comfortable shoes to wear, but I have a hard time keeping the sides clean. There was a 'wardrobe malfunction" due to wet grass. I originally thought the sides were "non" porus material: they are not. Now there are mud stains on the sides that really ruined the look for me. Other than that, I am quite satisfied with them

Good looking boot, but the sizing is terrible. After reading other reviews I bought a size smaller than I normally buy. 8.5 instead of 9.5...the length was perfect, but shoe was soooooo narrow I could barely get it on, and I don't really have wide feet.Any other shoes I have are normal width, but these were very slim.

The shoes are really nice, comfortable and look exactly as pictured EXCEPT that they were massively too big for me, I'm talking maybe 2 sizes too big.I'm usually on the large size of US8.5 or US9 and I got a US8.5 and they were huge. So I'm thinking I prob should have got a 7.5 or even a 7. Shame because the shoes are really nice and they should mention the weird sizing. Cheap Rockport Men's Drumlin Hill Chukka Boot

I was looking for a casual boot for winter travel. I like my shoes to have good cushioning (not always easy to find), but I have had good luck over the years finding dress casual shoes with cushioning that approaches that of a sneaker. That's what I was hoping for in these boots. These Rockports were advertised here as having "adiPRENE technology for superior shock absorption" and "ADIPRENE by adidas sport technology" (Rockport website).
The boots are good-looking (I bought them in nubuck) and appear well-made, but they were not especially cushioning. There was a fairly cushiony insole labeled "adiPRENE," but it appeared to be the only part of the boot that used adiPRENE. I use Spenco insoles in my shoes, and these were just a step below the Spencos in cushioning.
These don't approach the cushioning of a sneaker, but if you're looking for a nice chukka boot, and you don't have that requirement, I think you'll be happy with these.
I returned them as part of Amazon's free return policy on shoes bought from Amazon.

As with my past experience with Rockport shoes this is a very nice looking, well made shoe. With a better insole it would rate five stars. I never have been crazy about the looks of a saddle shoe but somehow over years it has grown on me to a point where I bought this shoe recently. Great shoe. The style looks much better (and understated) than I was expecting. Very happy with the looks of the shoe.

I got the walnut/brown combination and just as with my other walnut AE shoes, there is a slight color variation within the walnut that's subtle and really good looking. This is my 4th pair of AE shoes and I plan to keep on adding more to the collection based on my experience with the brand so far. This is my first time trying out their "double oak" sole, which has a very solid/study feel to it. I'll be looking to add more of their "double oak" leather sole shoes in the future as well.

While browsing other AE styles, I noticed the Shelton here. I realized they are the successor to the AE "Polo" pair that I own. I purchased my pair of AE Saddle Oxfords in Black/Burgandy in 1981 (no typo 30 years ago.) I had them re-soled by a quality cobbler...maybe 1999-2000. They have the creases of use and wear, but still shine beautifully and feel like only an AE shoe can. I have owned many pairs of AE shoes (& a couple of pairs of boots.) over the years. No trendy styling, but solid quality, durability, and class. Clarks Men's Roar Boot Reviews
Materials are first class, has an attractive design and ankle support is pretty good. I chose the "oily brown" model and it looks very well, almost like the picture. For being a boot, it is truly comfortable and feels almost like a shoe. If you're planning it for heavy duty activities, then you should reconsider this option(i find the outer get scratched somewhat easily). Overall a good product, i would highly recommend it for casual/urban wear purposes.

I received an email from Clarks, asking me to call their customer care line to explain my experience in more detail. I did, and after talking with a very nice customer service rep, they offered to send me out a new pair of Roar boots free of charge. The boots arrived about a week later and have been superb so far. One interesting note is that the boots direct from Clarks arrived in a different box than those from Amazon. Each boot was individually wrapped and the fit is much better than the two previous pairs. Also, the color of the boots from Clarks is darker. It makes me wonder if these are an updated model. All in all, I am very impressed with the level of service provided by Clarks (as well as Amazon for that matter) and, at least so far, this pair of boots is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you Clarks for going above and beyond what I expected.

I tried two pairs of these Clarks Roar boots, and was disappointed with both of them. While the look and the fit is fantastic, the quality just isn't up to par with the price (or the reputation). The heel on the sole of the first pair started to literally flake apart after wearing them just a few times. I exchanged them for another pair, and the replacement pair had small dents in the toe cap that wouldn't hold the otherwise smooth shape of the toe. Very disappointing, since I'd heard such great things about Clarks and really do love the way they look and the fit was perfect. Sorry Clarks, I gave you two shots and you failed both.UPDATE:

This is a very comfortable and well made boot. The sizing is true as I where a 12M and this boot is a perfect fit. It wears very well all day long walking either in the desert or on hard finished surfaces. I highly recommend this as well as the classic Clark's desert boot. The classic desert boot wears like a bedroom slipper and doesn't have the support that the Roar boot has. This shoe is described as a sneaker, but it looks more like a suede boot to me. It's a nice-looking shoe that seems like it will hold up through the winter. The price is excellent and it fits my son's foot with a little room to spare.
